Executive Order on Further Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through The Federal Government

On January 20, 2021, President Biden signed Executive Order 13985 – Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government), which charged the Federal Government with advancing equity for all and addressing systemic racism in our Nation’s policies and programs. Recognizing that achieving racial equity and providing support for underserved communities is not a one-time project, the President recently signed a new order that builds upon previous equity-related Executive Orders by extending and strengthening equity-advancing requirements for agencies.
