Small Towns, Big Impact:
How state and federal budget choices are shaping equity and opportunity in the rural South
Join MDC on April 20, 2026, for a timely conversation about how state and federal budget decisions are shaping opportunity in the rural South.
As funding priorities shift and public resources tighten, rural communities must work creatively to maintain progress toward prosperity. This webinar will explore how public dollars are flowing, who benefits, who is left out, and what kind of investments are needed for lasting impact.
Whether you’re a policymaker, practitioner, philanthropist, or advocate for rural communities, this session will offer valuable insights into the tradeoffs, risks, and opportunities faced by rural communities and what it will take to ensure Southern rural communities can thrive, now and in the future.
