Angela K. Sparks

Angela K. Sparks is the Senior Director of College and Career Ready with United Way of Greater Atlanta.  Her life’s journey and passion has been both to create inclusive programming for all youth while supporting their career journey into adulthood. A thirty-year veteran in education has provided her with opportunities to support students as a classroom instructor, Youth Apprenticeship Coordinator and Central Office District-Wide CTAE Coordinator for a large district as well as work in a small district as a career advisor. Her talents include relationship building and partner development. In 2023, Angela was named the National Career Development Professional of the year by the Association of Career and Technical Education because of her innovative approach to career development for youth. With a Specialist degree in leadership and a broad array of roles in her career, her current role is the perfect opportunity to support youth while removing barriers which impede their opportunities, success and ability to self-actualize.
