Diana Williams
Policy and Impact Program Associate
Chapel Hill, NC
Diana Williams is the Policy and Impact Program Assistant at MDC. She supports programs across the organization by providing policy insight and developing public-facing material that highlights the unique and important projects MDC is working on.
Diana graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with her bachelor’s degree in public policy and global studies in the spring of 2022. Shortly thereafter, she started her master’s degree in public policy at UNC, with the intention to graduate in the spring of 2024. Before calling Chapel Hill home, she grew up primarily in Jacksonville, NC, a small military community in Eastern NC. Her experiences growing up in rural North Carolina sparked a passion for social justice work, specifically racial equity as it relates to place. During her time at UNC, she worked on a variety of projects for external clients related to food justice, health and migration, and equity auditing.
For the duration of her time at MDC, Diana hopes to continue to learn more about how to empower the rich culture and people of the south, alongside the knowledgeable MDC staff.
Diana joined MDC in June 2023.
