Eleanor Tyson

Eleanor Tyson supports MDC Rural Forward’s projects on food systems, equity, and support for southeastern NC.

She is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Public Policy and Political Science with an Environmental Justice minor. She is continuing her education at UNC-CH as a candidate for the Master of Public Policy program concentrating in Environment and Human Welfare. Her professional interests include community engagement, government relations, and environmental health. Her hobbies include reading and improving her cooking skills.

She joined MDC in May 2023.
