In early 2026, MDC worked with 15 Jacksonville, FL-based artists and Yellow House to co-create State of the South’s first-ever art exhibit. The exhibit, Duval Displaced, Duval Dis Place, reflects and comments on how Jacksonville communities are building resilience and responding to increasing development and climate pressures. This video from Elevated Media, a local Jacksonville-based media company, documents the project and highlights the importance and impact of engaging artists as partners in social change efforts.
